Heaven’s Gift

A gift from Heaven
With love
Its taste
Of diversity
And abundance,
Happy moments,
Safe moments,
Nurturing moments,
Moments of acknowledgement –
My choice!
And when I cannot
Savor it
I know
It is
Because it was
Not meant for me.

I have enough for the day.
At night
My pantry
Is bare.
But I am certain
When the sun rises
I will receive
Appropriately mine
At my doorstep
Or perhaps
A bit further
My due share.
It fills me with trust
The morrow
And constant prayer
My life is
