Until April 26
We were a big and happy family
consisting of my parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters
My father was the rabbi
of our town, Kaba, in Hungary
My mother was born in Czechoslovakia
I remember
we had a big backyard
with chickens and geese
Every morning
we collected fresh eggs from the chicken coop
My mother baked bread twice a week
to feed her hungry children
